Bouquet - Once again, residents of Sycamore came out in force to tell the city council how they felt on some controversial issues. At Monday's meeting, people spoke out about a new tax, a sales tax increase and an annexation agreement. Constituents have also been contacting their aldermen, and it's working: Half the council voted against a new gasoline tax, and two aldermen who said it was a logical way to fund street repairs said their nay votes were directly related to opposition they heard from residents.
