Bouquet - DeKalb County Chief Deputy Kevin Hickey stuck around DeKalb County Clerk Sharon Holmes' office on election day after his shift ended to offer assistance if any problems arose. When election judges in a precinct in a rural part of the county called in to say they were afraid to travel the roads, which were slick due to rain and snow, Hickey knew what he had to do. He drove to the precinct, picked up the ballots and drove them back to the county clerk's office so they could be counted in a timely manner.
