Bouquet - There was no public comment time on the agenda for the Waterman Village Board's April 18 special meeting to consider the fate of the village police chief, but when more than 100 residents showed up, the board members, led by Trustee Beth White, voted to give the public half an hour to make remarks. Kudos to the board for letting people weigh in on an obviously emotional topic and to the residents themselves for showing up in force to be heard.
